Brian is a senior practice leader in IBM Global Business Services’ (GBS) Strategy & Analytics Practice area, with over 20 years of experience as a management, analytics, and technology consultant and practice leader. Brian focuses on both strategy and delivery of big data and advanced analytics consulting solutions, as it relates to financial markets, financial regulatory, and banking sectors. These services include bringing experience with big data tools and advanced analytics techniques to monitoring the financial and banking markets for irregular and/or illicit activities and monitoring program effectiveness.

Brian’s clients have included large corporations such as Cisco Systems and Fannie Mae; government organizations such as USAID and the US Department of Labor; and nonprofits such as America’s Promise and the Points of Light Foundation. On business management, Brian co-founded two start-up businesses. Prior to his consulting career, Brian was Co-founder and COO of a money management firm.  Brian serves as a director or advisor for a number of organizations, including Youth Service America, Amplifier Ventures, BrightHub, and 2nd Wave Consulting.

Brian earned his BA in Economics from the University of Maryland at College Park and his MBA in Business Economics from The George Washington University.
