Alan Howze

Alan was a Senior Advisor and Project Manager for the Management Roadmap initiative between the IBM Center for the Business of Government and the Partnership for Public Service. A Strategy Consultant and Fellow with IBM's Center for the Business of Government, Alan assisted public sector clients with strategies to re-design service delivery and transform public agencies. He has deep experience in the public sector as a policy, political and communications advisor and consultant. Alan is now the Chief Knowledge Officer at Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas.

Prior to joining IBM, Alan served on the senior staff of former Virginia Governor (now Senator) Mark Warner, worked for the Minority Leader of the Virginia House of Delegates, and was Legislative Director for a Member of Congress. He has extensive experience working with senior government officials including elected executives, legislators, political appointees, senior agency leaders and military General Officers.

He is active in his community and serves on local boards and commissions. Alan is a graduate of James Madison University and received his MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
