Janet Vinzant Denhardt is Professor in the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University. Her teaching and research interests lie primarily in organization theory and organizational behavior. Her book (with Lane Crothers), Street-Level Leadership: Discretion and Legitimacy in Front-Line Public Service, was recently published by the Georgetown University Press.
In addition, Dr. Denhardt has published numerous articles in journals such as Administration and Society, the American Review of Public Administration, Public Productivity and Management Review, and Public Administration Theory and Praxis. Prior to joining the faculty at Arizona State, Dr. Denhardt taught at Eastern Washington University and served in a variety of administrative and consulting positions. Her doctorate is from the University of Southern California
