Oded Shenkar is the Ford Motor Company Chair in Global Business Management and Professor of Management & Human Resources, Fisher of Business, The Ohio State University. Professor Shenkar’s research interests include international business, particularly comparative and international management.
His special interests include strategic and managerial issues pertaining to international strategic alliances. Geographically, his main region of interest is East Asia, particularly China. He is the editor of several books, most recently the Handbook of International Management Research (with B. J. Punnett) and Global Perspectives on Human Resource Management. He has written more than 70 articles for such journals as the of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Management Science, Organization Science, Organization Studies, and the Journal of Applied Psychology.
Dr. Shenkar serves on the editorial boards of the of Management Executives, Journal of Cross-Cultural Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Inquiry, Management International Review, Human Relations, Organization Studies. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University, his Masters of Philosophy from Columbia University,and his Masters of Science and Bachelor of Arts from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
