Sandra L. Fisher has been studying, consulting on, and teaching about issues related to human resource management and organizational performance for over 15 years. After spending five years as a consultant in Arlington, Virginia, she is now an Associate Professor at the Clarkson University School of Business in Potsdam, New York, where she teaches courses in human resource management, innovation, organizational change, and organizational behavior. Her primary interests and areas of expertise include the interface between people and technology, changing employment relationships (for example, increased use of outsourcing), training systems, and performance management.

Dr. Fisher has published articles in journals such as Personnel Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Human Resource Management and has presented numerous papers at national and international professional conferences. She is on the editorial boards of Journal of Business and Psychology and the Academy of Management Learning and Education journal. She received her Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from Michigan State University in 1998.
