Eleanor Merton

Eleanor Merton is a Research Fellow at Victoria University of Wellington and an embedded researcher at New Zealand’s Public Service Commission. She has edited a number of books and reports in the fields of public administration and public policy, both within government and as Head of Research at one of New Zealand’s foremost policy think tanks. Her forthcoming journal article in Public Management Review explores the dynamics of joined-up government.

Maya McKenzie

Maya McKenzie, MPH, CPH, is an epidemiologist at the Washington State Department of Health. She is certified in public health and has obtained her Master of Public Health Degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Before then, she attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree; majoring in Medical Anthropology and Global Health, and Anthropology of Globalization. Her interests are in community health, social and economic development, and health equity. She has been a research assistant at the Seattle Children’s Research

Tad McGalliard

Tad McGalliard serves as ICMA’s director for research, development, and technical assistance with the International City/County Management Association. For the past 18 years, Tad has led programs, projects, and research on creating more sustainable and resilient communities. Prior to ICMA he worked with Cornell University’s Center for the Environment. tmcgalliard@icma.org.

Laura Goddeeris

Laura Goddeeris, AICP, is ICMA’s director of survey research as well as ICMA’s COVID-19 Action Team. She has 15 years of experience in community and economic development research, outreach, and program administration. Before coming to ICMA in 2017, Laura worked with Michigan State University’s Center for Regional Food Systems.

Gurdeep Gill

Gurdeep Gill (she/her) is a 2nd generation Punjabi America and a dedicated community advocate. She aims to increase access and opportunity for low-income Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) so that they can thrive in the ways they want. Currently, she is a Ruth Woo Fellow at King County where she has helped with COVID-19 response, supported the development of the County’s Strategic Climate Action Plan, and is currently supporting the development of a communications strategy and organizational transformation with the King County Council’s Office of Equity and Social Justice.
