Harvey Koeppel

Harvey Koeppel is Executive Director of the Center for CIO Leadership. In this capacity, Harvey sets the Center’s strategy and directs internaland external operations. He also serves as Chairman of the Center’s Advisory Committee.

Ivan Handler

Ivan Handler is the Chief Information Officer of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, where he started in 2005. Ivan started with technology at age 14 when he was sent to learn Fortran II at IIT, and has been in the technology consulting field since the mid 1970's. He is ABD in Algebraic Topology from the University of Illinois at Chicago

Vice Admiral David Jack Dorsett

Vice Admiral Dorsett graduated from Jacksonville University (Florida) in 1978. His sea duty included assignments on HMS Gavinton (M1140), USS Elliott (DD 967), USS Oldendorf (DD-972), USS Dominant (MSO-431), USS Ranger (CV 61), deputy assistant chief of staff for Intelligence for commander 6th Fleet, and assistant chief of staff for Intelligence for commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command / 5th Fleet.

Caswell F. Holloway

Appointed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg to lead the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Commissioner Caswell F. (Cas) Holloway took office on January 1, 2010.  Prior to his appointment, he served as Chief of Staff to Deputy Mayor for Operations Edward Skyler and as Special Advisor to Mayor Bloomberg. 

Clarence Carter

Clarence H. Carter is the Director of the District of Columbia’s Department of Human Services (DHS). He was appointed by Mayor Adrian M. Fenty on July 5, 2007. The Director of the Department of Human Services is a cabinet-level position with responsibility for all income assistance support and related welfare-to-work employment programs.  It also is inclusive of homeless services and prevention, child care services, as well as a wide spectrum of social service programs, including, adult protective services and teen pregnancy prevention.
 

Peter Appel

Peter H. Appel was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Administrator of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA) on April 29, 2009. Since joining RITA, Appel has worked with Secretary Ray LaHood to advance key U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) initiatives by leveraging effective research and cross-modal coordination.

Thomas Davenport

Professor Davenport holds the President's Chair in the Information Technology Management Division and co-directs the Working Knowledge Research Center.  He has taught at Harvard Business School, University of Chicago, Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business, and the University of Texas at Austin.   He has directed research centers at Accenture, Ernst & Young, McKinsey & Company, and CSC Index.

Linda Jacobs Washington

Linda Jacobs Washington assumed the position of Senior Policy Advisor for Community Initiatives in July, 2010. As the Senior Policy Advisor, Ms. Washington oversees community outreach activities for the Department of Transportation. She is the Chair of the Local Federal Coordinating Committee of the Combined Federal Campaign for the National Capital Area. The Combined Federal Campaign is the only authorized workplace charitable giving drive for employees in the Federal workplace. Under Ms.

Matt Leighninger is the Executive Director of the Deliberative Democracy Consortium (DDC), an alliance of the major organizations and leading scholars working in the field of deliberation and public engagement. The DDC represents more than 50 foundations, nonprofit organizations, and universities, collaborating to support research activities and advance democratic practice, in North America and around the world. Over the last seventeen years, Matt has worked with public engagement efforts in over 100 communities, in 40 states and four Canadian provinces.
